Privacy notice
Last updated 20 August 2026
This notice explains what I do with your personal data when you use this website or join the email list. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
The short version
- The only personal data I collect is your first name, your email address, and anything you choose to type into the optional "what would you like help with" box, and only if you choose to join the email list.
- I use it for two things: telling you when one to one coaching opens in 2027, and sending you what I write about nutrition. Nothing else.
- I do not sell it, rent it, or share it with other businesses, including my own.
- There are no analytics and no tracking cookies on this site.
- You can leave at any time, and I will delete your details when you do.
Who is responsible for your data
Jackson Mills, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom, trading as Jackson Mills Nutrition. I am the data controller. You can reach me at hello@jacksonmillsnutrition.com about anything in this notice, including a request to see or delete your data.
What I collect, and why
- Your first name. So the emails are addressed to a person.
- Your email address. So I can tell you when coaching opens and send you the writing.
- Anything you type in the optional box. The signup form has an optional "what would you like help with" box. It is genuinely optional, you can join the list without it, and the form asks you to keep it general and to leave medical details out. I use it to work out what to write about.
- A record of your consent: the date and time you signed up and the exact wording you agreed to. UK data protection law requires me to be able to show that consent was given, and this is how I do it.
That is the entire list. There is no hidden field and no profile built in the background.
What I deliberately do not collect
I never ask a health question on this website, and I do not want health information. Details about your health are special category data under UK GDPR, they carry a much higher duty of care, and there is no good reason for a signup form to hold any.
The one free-text box on the form asks you to keep your answer general and to leave out medical details and health conditions. Please do. If you send health details anyway, through that box or by email, I will delete them rather than keep them on a marketing list, and I will not use them to profile you.
I also do not store your IP address in the email list, and there is no analytics tool, advertising pixel or tracking script on this site.
My lawful basis
Your consent, under Article 6(1)(a) of the UK GDPR, given by ticking the box on the signup form. That one tick covers both purposes, the waiting list and the writing, and the wording you agreed to is stored alongside your details. Marketing email in the UK is also governed by PECR, which is why the box is unticked by default and why every email will carry a one-click unsubscribe.
You can withdraw consent at any time, and withdrawing it is as easy as giving it. It does not make anything I did before that point unlawful.
Who else handles it
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts this website and stores the email list. Cloudflare processes your IP address in order to deliver and protect the site. Cloudflare is a United States company running a global network, and personal data may be processed outside the UK under the standard contractual clauses and the UK addendum, which are the safeguards UK law recognises for that.
- When I begin actually sending the emails, I will use an email platform to do it, and I will name it here before your address is ever loaded into one.
Nobody else gets your details. I do not sell or rent data, and I do not run advertising on this site.
Prime Vitality is a separate business
I also run a UK supplement brand called Prime Vitality. It is a different business with its own systems and its own customer list. Joining the list here does not put you on that one, and being a Prime Vitality customer does not put you on this one. The two lists are stored separately and are not merged, because you consented to one thing and not the other.
How long I keep it
Until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it, whichever comes first. Being on the waiting list puts you under no obligation and costs nothing. If I have gone 24 months without sending you anything, I will delete the list rather than let stale data sit there. Your consent record is deleted alongside your details.
Cookies
This site sets no analytics, advertising or preference cookies. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary cookie to protect the site from automated abuse. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent, which is why you are not being shown a cookie banner. If that ever changes, this notice changes with it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- ask what personal data I hold about you, and get a copy
- have inaccurate details corrected
- have your data deleted
- restrict or object to how I use it
- receive your data in a portable format
- withdraw your consent at any time
Email hello@jacksonmillsnutrition.com and I will deal with it within one month. There is no charge. There is also no automated decision-making or profiling here, because there is nothing to profile.
Children
This website is aimed at adults. I do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you think a child has signed up, email me and I will remove it.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how I have handled your data, please tell me first so I can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this notice
The site is new and will grow. When this notice changes in a way that affects you, I will update the date at the top, and if the change is significant I will say so in an email rather than quietly editing the page.
